Hillside Garden in Walnut Creek

This site has a 30' slope up, in the backyard, so we took advantage of the elevations to create a dramatic water feature with water fall, a portable spa tucked into the hill, and retaining walls that provide seating. We also used stone slabs for steps from the main patio, which added to the natural look of the stone retaining walls. Above the waterfall, we created the illusion that the water come from above the property, but, in reality it only recirculate on the lower part and the creek above is 'dry'. This is a low maintenance, drought tolerant design.
